There are some moments I witness that feel surreal to be a part of. Documenting a birth is definitely one of those moments. The anticipation that leads up to this day is all a mom can think about. When will I go into labor? How will it feel? What will baby look like? These questions and more are constantly running through their head so when labor starts it is a feeling of excitement. Then the pain of contractions set in. This momma handled them so well. I was in awe of her strength throughout the birth process. She made jokes and smiled and everyone who came into the room was so inspired by her strength. Her birth was a long one and watching her power through each contraction and those supporting her was so moving. I love how these images tell that story.

Thank you so much to the K family for inviting me to document the birth of baby Mason. It was such a big honor to preserve these precious memories for them.
