Let's remember this season together!
Christmas photos are one of my favorite parts of the holiday season. The cozy sweaters, little ones dressed up, the holiday lights, and all that excitement that comes with Christmas that makes these sessions so much fun! But before we get to all of that, there is one question I hear every year. What in the world are we going to wear for Christmas photos?!
Growing up, we never had a real Christmas tree but also Florida isn’t know for it’s real Christmas trees…so when my husband and I started our own family, I loved going to pick one out together as a family.
I loved watching my kids wander through the farm looking for the “perfect” tree. Their excitement made something as simple as choosing a Christmas tree feel so special.
We all have that photo…you know the one with Santa where your kid is crying so hard and it’s both funny and sad at the same time? One year while we were picking out a Christmas tree, Santa just happened to be at the tree farm, so we waited in line to see him. My middle son was just under 2 at the time and he was not having it…
I have a confession to make. Side Cut Metropark used to be one location that I hated photographing families at. I’m not even sure why! I just always found this park a little harder to photograph than some of my other favorite Toledo locations.
Before we moved to Ohio from Texas, my father in law took us to Oak Openings during one of our visits. It might sound silly, but I was completely blown away by all the trees! This Florida girl didn’t know what to do with so many oaks everywhere.
