What to Wear for Family Pictures + How I Help You Plan It

If figuring out what to wear for family photos feels a little overwhelming, you are definitely not alone. Coordinating outfits for multiple people, making sure everyone feels comfortable, and hoping it all comes together well in photos can quickly start to feel like one more thing sitting on your plate.

That’s exactly why personalized styling has become such a big part of the experience I offer my families.

Best Summer Locations for Photos in Northwest Ohio

Summer in Northwest Ohio feels like long golden evenings, wildflowers brushing against little bare feet, ice cream melting too fast, and kids staying up way past bedtime. Around here, summer nights usually end with my kids still outside long after they were supposed to come in, either spraying each other with the hose or bouncing on the trampoline while the sun disappears. It’s messy and loud and the kind of thing I already know I’ll miss someday.

That’s probably why I love summer sessions so much.

Photos on the Maumee River – Fun Family Photos

The first time I found this spot along the Maumee River, my boys were instantly all in. Climbing over the rocks, filling their pockets with little treasures, and skipping stones until the sun disappeared behind the trees.

That’s what I love most about this location at Side Cut Metropark. It feels peaceful and adventurous all at once.

Photos at GardenView Flowers – Dreamy Photo Session Location

GardenView Flowers is a family owned flower farm just outside Toledo, and it’s one of those places you can tell is cared for so well. From the u pick gardens to the little details throughout the property, everything feels thoughtful and inviting.

You can plan a slow morning or evening there, building your own bouquets, stopping by the little shop, or even working with them to design florals for a wedding or another special event.

Or, my favorite, take photos on their gorgeous property!
