Christmas sessions are here!

hi there!

I'm Cynthia and like you, I am busy with so many balls in the air (family, photography, volunteering, day-to-day life, hobbies) but my most important one is being a mom to my four kiddos- Ava, Miss M, Jr, and Archie (the baby!) They steal more of my heart every day and I am in awe of the little people they are turning into.

When my oldest child, Ava, was only four years old, she was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor. There were many challenging times for our family while she was sick but one thing that was a light for us was the photo sessions we were gifted.

Those images are truly priceless and provide us comfort now that she is gone. Her fight inspired The Gold Hope Project, a non-profit that provides free portrait sessions for pediatric cancer patients. We are so proud to see her name live on through such a worthy cause that benefits so many other families.

My love for photography grew when Ava was sick. The last year she was with us was filled with making as many memories as possible and that included a way for us to hold on to those moments together. I was usually found with my camera in my hands as a way to document her every moment.

Now that she is gone, the photos we have of her mean so much. It was through loosing her that I learned why photographs are so important. This lesson has impacted my life on so many levels and even though I wish I could have learned it some other way, I feel blessed that I am able to share my love of photography with others.

Photography is a gift I'm honored to give over and over. My life is best lived by giving to other parents what I so immensley treasure. Sometimes the importance of this gift is immediately apparent, while other times the importance is seen years later. In either case, I am humbled to offer my love of photography and my purpose after my loss of Ava to others.
