I was talking to some new parents the other day and we got on the topic of how nobody really tells you half the stuff that comes with having a new baby. You just kind of figure it out as you go.⁠
⁠
But the one thing people do say over and over is how fast it all goes.⁠
⁠
And it’s annoying when you’re exhausted and waking up every two hours… ⁠
⁠
but then somehow your kids are sleeping till noon and you’re wishing you could go back and hold that tiny version of them again for just a minute (ask me how I know!) ⁠
⁠
I always admire the parents who know how important it is to remember this time. Babies change so fast and sometimes photos are the only thing that bring you back to what those days actually felt like.

Your toddler moves like a tornado on espresso and you’re wondering…⁠

How are we supposed to get even one decent photo?⁠
⁠
  I hear this from so many moms with toddlers who never stop moving. ⁠
⁠
The good news? ⁠
⁠
That energy is exactly what brings your photos to life.
⁠
One sweet mama recently shared this about her two-year-old:⁠
 “The way you were able to capture the essence of my wild two year old while he was moving a mile a minute was magic!”⁠

Your toddler doesn’t have to sit still. ⁠
I follow their lead, play alongside them, ⁠
and capture those real moments ⁠
because those are often the best ones! ⁠

So if you’ve been holding off on photos because you’re convinced your toddler won’t cooperate... ⁠

I’m here to show you it’s more than possible. It can even be fun!!! ⁠

What I wish every first time client knew 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 their session ⁠

It’ll probably feel a little different than what you’re expecting...⁠
⁠
There’s 𝘯𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 for your kids to sit still the whole time.⁠

No pressure for everything to go 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺 as planned ⁠
(because with kids they never do!) ⁠
⁠
We take our time and let things unfold naturally.⁠
⁠
Your kids get to explore while you love on them and just 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 for a little while.⁠
⁠
And while all of that is happening, ⁠
I’m paying attention to the details and ⁠
moments you’ll want to 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘰 years from now.⁠

The way it feels to be together, before it quietly changes. ⁠
⁠
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻. ⁠

And getting to spend time with you here ⁠
while your kids run through the flowers ⁠
and you hold your people close somehow makes it 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘳! ⁠

⁠ For the mom who keeps 𝘩𝘪𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 from the camera…

Pregnancy can feel so different than you imagined it would.

Some days you feel connected and strong.
Some days you’re exhausted and just trying to make it through the day.

Maybe you’ve looked at photos of yourself lately and picked apart every little thing.

Maybe you just do not quite feel like yourself.

But even here… 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘺 in this version of you.

In the 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨.
In the 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨.

In the way your body is carrying and caring for this little life every single day.

You do not have to have it all together to deserve to be remembered in this season.

One day, these photos will hold so much more than what you looked like.
