Labor and Delivery Toledo Hospital
You wouldn’t think that a hospital would be a great place for a photo session but they are! Especially when it is the setting where you are meeting a new family member. This fresh 24 photo session was planned around when big sister would arrive to meet her new baby sister. When dad placed her in her arms, her hunger got the best of her and she became cranky. I love how big sister is gently trying to comfort her and knew this would be a keeper.

Before & After
After pulling this photo up on the computer, I knew this would be a perfect black and white image. The way the light was falling on the baby’s body that stripping it of the color would allow for the different tones to stand out. In ACR, I used my favorite black and white preset (Window Light by Erin Hensley Photography). I adjusted the highlights, blacks and clarity sliders. Then, I cropped the image to fill the frame more. When I did that, only a little bit of dad’s face was showing in the image and it became distracting. Because of that I removed it from the photo. Finally, I used a center point vignette to draw the eye directly to baby. Love the final version!
