Labor & Delivery Flower Hospital

Flower Hospital is located in Sylvania, Ohio. I was surprised that I hadn’t had the chance to shoot a fresh 24 session at this hospital until recently. Mom said the staff was wonderful, even helped with changing diapers! Her recovery room was so big! I loved the big windows and noticed they even had a special meal option for both mom and dad to enjoy. I hope I’m able to come back soon for more fresh 24 sessions. P.S. Before & After

When I saw this sweet momma cradling her baby, my heart was melting. I loved this moment and knew it would be beautiful in black and white. While I was standing in front of her, I must not have been completely parallel because I had a hard time getting the lines straight. I settled with this crop. I then removed the stuff on the table and the clock on the wall using a combination of the patch and fill tool. Next, I converted this to black and white using the window light preset by Erin Hensley. I tweaked the shadows and black sliders. Then, I brought the image into photoshop to add a center point vignette so there would be more light on momma’s face. I’m loving the final edit!
