Pure Barre Perrysburg

Pure Barre is the fitness movement that is sweeping the country. With over 450 studios in the United States and Canada, I’m excited to share with you what Pure Barre is all about!

Thanks to Mo Sheahan, Northwest Ohio has two Pure Barre locations. Mo opened the Toledo studio in early 2016 and the popularity took off! After realizing the demand for Pure Barre in this area was so high, she opened the Perrysburg studio 363 days shy of the Toledo opening. Pretty amazing, right?!?

Mo was first introduced to Pure Barre in Denver. After relocating to Toledo, she missed the workouts and community so much, she was driving to Ann Arbor a few times a week to get her bare fix. Through talking with others in the area, she realized she wasn’t the only one missing a Pure Barre studio here. Then, the seed was planted that she should open a studio here. She believed in herself and took the plunge!

What is the Barre?

The Pure Barre technique is a challenging workout that promotes strength and results. When you think of “barre” think of small asymmetric movements that are dance based. The movements focus on certain muscle groups. Expect those muscles to burn and shake. It is instructor led with music that allows you move to the beat with each pulse. The combination of the music and instructors help motivated.

Being surrounded by classmates also motivates you when you might want to give up.  Pure Barre celebrates your milestones with you too! Being recognized for each class or goal you meet is a great way to keep encouragement up.

The point of their program is to work your muscles to exhaustion so you see results quickly. These results are unique to Pure Barre. You can see different shapes and firmness in your body after just a couple classes. The challenge of each exercise and their sequence, allows those results to happen. If you like the burn of a great workout, then Pure Barre is for you!

Classes

With 10 instructors (and counting) and lots of different class times; you will find a class that can fit in your schedule. The formats to the class are similar but the choreography of the work is mixed up. You won’t get bored and your muscles are continually challenged.

Mo was so encouraging and wanted me to remind you to come and TRY a class! If the words “shaking and challenging” may be intimidating but you can take breaks. It is up to you to take the workout as far as you want it to go. Don’t let the persona of this being a ballet or dance like class. That’s not what this is. It is for all body types and all ages. The classes are for everybody!
