At the end of your pregnancy the days seem to drag on but once your baby arrives, time seems to move in hyper speed. Planning a photo session during this time will allow you the chance to slow down and enjoy your baby while I document on film this “fresh” feeling of meeting your newborn.
What is a fresh 24/48 photo session?
A fresh 24/48 session is a photo session in the first 24-48 hours after your baby has been born. This photo session captures all that love that is just pouring out of you every time you look at your baby. They are usually held in the hospital. Fresh 24/48 sessions can also take place at home if gave birth there. They are a great alternative to a birth session (and just a little easier to plan, wink). Fresh 24/48 photo sessions will document all the little details of your newborn like the features of their face,feet, hands, belly button and their growing connection to you in a wonderful natural way. It’s all about the little moments with this session.
Why would I want a fresh 24/48?
So you may be wondering why you would want to schedule a photo session right after you have given birth. The answer is simple and one we don’t realize until years later. Babies grow and they grow FAST! So many times I show up for a newborn lifestyle session when baby is a week old and the parents tell me how much their little one has grown already. Fresh 24/48 sessions allow you to forever hold on to that brand new baby. The images from these sessions have the power to bring you back to those all those firsts that happened after they were born. The moments when your husband rocked his first diaper change or when your daughter met her sister for the first time. It will all be documented for you in the most beautiful way.
How does a fresh 24/48 session work?
A little planning goes a long way for this type of session. Since these are usually shot within the first 48 hours after birth, it is essential that you communicate with me right away when you are in labor or after baby is born. A quick text is all I need! This allows us to schedule the session promptly.
