A Dream Storytelling Session with Horses
One session that had been on my photography bucket list for years was capturing a family with their horses. Ever since my daughter and I attended a mother-daughter retreat at a horse camp, I had dreamed of photographing that special connection between a family and their animals.
Horses have always held a special place in my heart. As a little girl, I imagined having my own someday. I would spend hours daydreaming about brushing their manes, riding through open fields, and forming that deep, unspoken bond. While that dream hasn’t come true (yet!). The little girl inside me was absolutely thrilled when the stars aligned for this session.
I have to admit, things started off a little rocky when one of the horses wasn’t exactly in the mood for photos. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned from working with toddlers, it’s that patience and a little creativity go a long way! Mom was amazing at coming up with a solution. Soon enough, we were walking through the pasture, capturing the most beautiful moments together. The way the kids lit up as they watched the horses, the way Dad gently guided them, and the how Mom would snuggle up with them—it was pure magic.
