There is something special about being able to photograph a family in their own space. I’m not sure if it is truly documenting the environment where life unfolds or if it is a comfort level for the children, but I find that the images my heart is drawn to are usually in this setting.

Homes change, whether you move, renovate or redecorate. It can be so important years from now to have a visual of the place where some of your memories were made.

I was so happy this family wanted to play outside for a bit during their newborn session. They have such a fun backyard! There are a few walking trails, a pond and I’m sure the kid’s favorite – a swing set!

Watching the joy on their faces as they were swinging was awesome! Dad would pull them back so the girls were sure to go high as Mom watched with the baby. It is these types of moments that I love to capture for families. I’m so happy to be able to share them with you!
