2022 Booking FAQ & Information

It’s freezing outside and there is snow on the ground but warmer days will be here before you know it. I wanted to share with you all the details and questions I receive about my outdoor photo sessions so you have everything you need when booking for the year officially opens.

What is the booking process like?

I try to make the process of booking a session super simple. Once you email me to let me know you want to reserve a session, I will ask for your preferred session date. I typically shoot sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and some Sundays. Hopefully, I will have that date open but if not, I can work around that time to find a date that works for both of us.

What if we have bad weather?

No, worries! My rain policy is if the ground is wet or the chance of rain is higher than 60%, then we will reschedule to the next available day that works for both of us.

Can you help me with what to wear?

Yes! One of the perks of working with me is that you will have access to my complimentary styling service. This is where I will pull pieces (new items, ones you already own, or options from my client closet) for the whole family. This means I will do all the web browsing for items that will photograph beautifully and coordinate with your style. Leave all the heavy lifting in finding what to wear to me!

How do we know which location will be best?

This is another benefit of working with me. I’ve done extensive location scouting in the northwest Ohio area and have found lots of amazing locations for my sessions. If you have a certain look in mind (water, beach, fields, forest, wildflowers, etc) then be sure to let me know. Otherwise, I will choose a location based on the colors you choose to wear and how they will look at my favorite spots.

How much will a session cost?

Professional photography is an investment that only grows over time. If there is one thing I know it’s that you will never be sorry for the photos you did take, only the ones you didn’t. Most clients typically invest between $750-$450 on digital images and print products. You can choose a collection with a mix of print products and high-resolution images or order a la carte. I also offer payment plans if needed.

What time of day will our session be?

To get those dreamy golden light-filled images you see in my portfolio, outdoor sessions take place about an hour and a half before sunset or immediately following sunrise. The exact time for sunrise and sunset changes every day. In spring and fall, sunset is a bit earlier and summer will have the latest sunset times. If you have young kids that may have a hard time staying up late, then I would recommend a sunrise session or a spring or fall session for them. But typically, most kids can handle staying up a little past bedtime for one day. Being outside really helps them stay happy and distracted!
