When I photograph a family, it is my number one goal to capture the bond between them. This can be challenging as I usually am meeting them for the first time during our photo session. I have lots of tricks up my sleeve to get parents and kids to relax together but I didnโt need any of them for this session with the โCโ family.
They were such naturals, both in front of the camera and not being shy to love on one another. Mom mentioned to me after the session that she felt like it was a tough session because her daughter had a hard day with her seizure disorder and the fact that I was able to get any photos of her blew her mind.
I totally get feeling like a photo session is pure chaos (Iโve had my fair share with my own kids!) but the thing is, I didnโt notice that all during our time together. I saw a family who loves each other so strongly and genuinely enjoys being with each other. It was noticing those connections that allowed me to give them these amazing images.
