Fall is hands-down one of the most magical times for family photos. Thereโs something about the changing leaves, cozy layers, and golden light that brings out all the warmth and connection we want to remember forever. But when exactly is the best time to schedule your session? Letโs break it down so you can plan with confidence and enjoy the experience from start to finish.
What is the best month for fall photos? When does fall foliage peak in Northwest Ohio?
If youโre dreaming of those vibrant red, orange, and golden trees as the backdrop to your photos, your best bet is usually the last two weeks of October. Thatโs when peak foliage usually hits here in Northwest Ohio. Of course, Mother Nature doesnโt follow a strict calendar, so it can shift slightly year to year, but this window consistently delivers beautiful color. If you love those rich fall tones, this is your moment.
That said, the beauty of fall stretches well beyond peak week. September has its own kind of magic, with cooler air creeping in and hints of color just beginning to appear in the trees.
