The Butterfly House

The Butterfly House is such a little treasure in Northwest Ohio. I had heard how much kids (and adults) loved visiting this place. It only took us two years living here to get the opportunity to check it out! Miss M loved observing the butterflies and they flew back and forth. Little man was a bit more rowdy while visiting. I had to rein him back many times when he tried to get too close. Luckily, after a little while he was able to watch all of the butterflies from a safe distance. If you haven’t gotten the chance to check this place out, plan some time and bring the kids!

Before & After

This photo didn’t need much. I had shot a little bit above my little man and I loved the way the leaves are in the foreground. First, I increased my exposure. Then, I added a bit of contrast and a curve adjustment to pop the colors. Finally, I added a center point vignette to bring more light directly to my subject while darkening the sides of the photo. That brought all the colors to life and I love that we can see so many butterflies in the photo as well.
