I was so excited when this mom contacted me about doing a lifestyle session. They had recently welcomed a new baby and wanted to remember all those little details that will change way too fast. She saw the work I did for her friend and I am so glad she liked what she saw.
The “M” family welcomed me right away. After we figured out where would be a good spot for photos, I got to work. We started with big sister, Whitney and little sister, Alexis. Whitney was so attentive to little Alexis. Talking to her and smiling the whole time she was in her arms. It wasn’t long though that Alexis needed a little break so mom fed her. I love moments like this during a lifestyle session. I got a great image of her looking at me that may just be one of my favorites. After her feeding, it was time for Elliot to love on his baby sister. He did great holding her close. Alexis was starting to get sleepy so dad took over rocking and holding her. It was amazing to see how relaxed Alexis was in dad’s arms. She went right to sleep and both mom and dad got a chance to admire their sweet baby girl. When Alexis woke up, we did some crib images. She was so happy and kept trying to find me through the bars of the crib. Then we finished up by relaxing on the couch for a few family photos.
Lifestyle sessions are so much fun for me and I love being able to tell a family’s story with these kind of sessions. Real life is beautiful and these moments are fleeting.
