For your baby

I remember the first time I saw my mother pregnant. It was an old photo and she was standing in her living room with the biggest smile on her face. It made me instantly smile too. There is something so special about seeing your mother with a baby bump and knowing that was you inside her tummy. Imagine how your baby will feel years from now when they get to look at all of your gorgeous images from your maternity photoshoot. These photos will bring them so much joy and happiness. As moms, we need to remember that the photos we take of our children are for us now but as they grow they become their treasures.

This doesn’t last forever

If there is any a time in your life that goes at warp speed and a snail’s pace at the same time, it is pregnancy. Ten months seems like such a long time but the truth is those days just fly by. You don’t want to get to the last few weeks of your pregnancy and then realize you forgot to document it.

I usually suggest that moms-to-be schedule their photo session when they are between 30-36 weeks. This allows your belly to shine but also allows for a little bit of buffer if you start to feel super uncomfortable towards the end of your pregnancy or you go into labor earlier than expected.

Being pregnant is a true miracle. Each day as your pregnancy progresses and your belly grows bigger is a reminder of that little miracle growing inside of you. Your changing body can either make you feel like a goddess or like an alien has taken over. I think most of us who have been there can sympathize with both of those emotions. I had my days when I felt amazing and like a beauty queen. Then there were days when everything hurt, the stretch marks appeared, and I just felt chubby.

With those conflicting emotions, the last thing you may want to do is step in front of the camera. But this is actually the perfect time for you to do just that! 

This is the time to pamper yourself, put on a gorgeous dress, and let me show you the beauty that this time in your life holds. Sometimes it takes an outside perspective to show you those things and I’m happy to do that for you!
