What time are outdoor sessions and how long do they last?

Outdoor sessions take place about an hour and a half before sunset. This time of day is referred to as “golden hour” because of the dreamy and flattering light it creates.

I’m pretty flexible with how long a session lasts because I get that every family and kid has their own rhythm. Typically though outdoor sessions last about an hour.

Can you help us with what to wear?

Of course! I would love to help you decide on a color scheme and wardrobe options. We want to be sure that the pieces will not only complement our choice of location but also look fabulous hanging on the walls in your home. 

When you reserve your session with me, you will have access to a virtual styling session with me. This will help guide you in choosing the perfect photo-ready outfits and accessories for the whole family. 

You’ll look fabulous and be amazed at how easy it is to pull everyone’s look together!

How do we choose a location?

You can relax and leave the location hunting to me! I’ve personally explored various stunning spots in and around Toledo, carefully selecting the most picturesque settings for your session. I’ve done the legwork to ensure that your session takes place in a truly captivating location.

If you have a special place in mind or any specific ideas for a location, please share them with me. I’m always open to exploring new places and incorporating them into our session if they match my artistic style. Your input matters, and together we can choose the perfect location to create beautiful memories of your family.

What do you do if my kids don’t want to take photos?

First of all, I expect kids to act like kids. Please don’t get embarrassed if they start to get restless or want to go in the opposite direction of my camera. 

I have a special talent for capturing the genuine and natural expressions of children, even when they’re not posing or forcing a smile. I believe that the best photographs come from moments of joy, laughter, and genuine emotions.

If they want to move on to something else while we are shooting, then we do. I notice their cues and when I sense any frustration from them I will try some of my tricks to get them to cooperate. And if they need a minute away from the camera, that’s okay too!

How long does it take to receive our photos? 

Receiving your gallery is the best part of the whole session, right? This is one of the best parts of my job because it’s when you see the beauty and magic we created. 

I pride myself on a quick turnaround because who likes to be kept waiting? Sessions are delivered for you within 2-3 weeks and are completely edited to perfection, ready for you to hang on your walls and share with your friends.
