Sylvania Child Photography – 365 – Week 22

Last week it was cold in Central Texas. We even got a forecast of snow. I was so excited imaging all the fun photos I could take with that fresh white powder floating all around but it didn’t happen. My hopes were dashed…lol. Hopefully we will get at least one snowfall this winter to satisfy...

I am a family photographer who believes the 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 matter more ⁠than everyone cheesing at the camera and I wish more mommas 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸. ⁠

are the ones where everyone ⁠
is laughing so hard you can ⁠
almost hear it again. ⁠
⁠
The ones you reach for year after year are never the “perfect poses”...⁠
⁠
They are the images that ⁠
make your 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 with nostalgia. ⁠
⁠
They are 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦 and ⁠
full of 𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘴 ⁠
that will soon change ⁠
right before your eyes. ⁠
⁠
The photos you may hang on the wall might have everyone looking at the camera, but the ones that stay 𝘁𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 are the ones you can 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭.⁠

That is why I photograph families the way I do...⁠
so you can hold on to these moments that make ⁠
your story 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴 and revisit them year after year.

If you’re in the newborn fog but ⁠
still want to remember this sweet season… 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴.⁠

𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗮𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱. ⁠
The days (and nights) are a blur. ⁠
You’re figuring out feedings, healing, ⁠
and maybe still wearing yesterday’s clothes...⁠

and yet, 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭 in a way that’s hard to put into words.⁠

This is exactly why newborn sessions 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿. ⁠

Not because everything is perfect, but because this season is 𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨.⁠

Friend to friend, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 ⁠

So many of us don’t enjoy every part of pregnancy. ⁠
