Some sessions just 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 in the 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘺.⁠
⁠
This was one of them... ⁠
probably because I got to work ⁠
alongside another talented creative ⁠
and just 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺 with the 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴, ⁠
the 𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, and how 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 is.⁠
⁠
I found myself playing more with the light, letting it guide the story as much as the 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 between this 𝘮𝘢𝘮𝘢 and her 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦.⁠
⁠
It still feels true to my style, ⁠
but with a little 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘢 𝘴𝘰𝘧𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴. ⁠
A little more 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘸.⁠
⁠
There’s something really special ⁠
about watching a ⁠
𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 ⁠
while also 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘺 ⁠
she hasn’t met yet. ⁠
⁠
That layered kind of 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 is ⁠
𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘦𝘵 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘶𝘭⁠
and I’m so 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 ⁠
I get to witness and document it.⁠

This sweet family wanted to capture some time together in the gardens at Wildwood
⁠
and the 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 something ⁠
straight out of a 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲...⁠
minus the talking animals.⁠

The first time I found this spot along the Maumee River, my boys were 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘯. ⁠
⁠
𝘑𝘶𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 all over the rocks, ⁠
𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘱𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘵𝘴 with treasures, ⁠
𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴 like it was their job! ⁠
⁠
Total gold mine for 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀.⁠
⁠
It’s 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 all at once ⁠and when the sun starts to set? ⁠
⁠
𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰⁠
⁠
It’s the kind of place where families can 𝘴𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳⁠
Playful, relaxed, a little messy, in the best way.⁠

And the 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴? ⁠

Before I ever picked up a camera, I was chasing wildflowers.⁠
⁠
When I started my photography business in Texas, ⁠
there was one bloom that ruled them all, the bluebonnet. ⁠
⁠
Every spring, it felt like a rite of passage to take photos in them. ⁠
Friends used to joke that it was practically a state law ⁠
to get a bluebonnet photo every year.⁠
⁠
But back then, that was the only wildflower I really got to enjoy ⁠
because Texas is not known for lots of wildflowers, at least where I lived. ⁠
⁠
Now? There are almost too many to choose from...almost! ⁠
⁠
The fields here in Toledo explode with them in the summer. ⁠
⁠
And the best part? ⁠
⁠
You’re not just admiring them from a distance.⁠
⁠
During your our time together, ⁠
your kids get to explore the field, ⁠
picking their favorites, ⁠
and by the time we wrap up, ⁠
you walk away with a wildflower bouquet in one hand ⁠
and a heart full of memories in the other. ⁠
⁠
It’s carefree, colorful, and such a beautiful way ⁠
to capture this season of life.⁠
⁠

The 𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗛! ⁠

Growing up in Florida,
I absolutely 𝘓𝘖𝘝𝘌𝘋 being at 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩
so it’s no surprise this place 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲
to me. ⁠
⁠
We are so lucky to have such a gorgeous beach so close to home. ⁠
⁠
The grassy hill, ⁠
the rocks, ⁠
the driftwood, ⁠
the sunsets, 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗼 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱. ⁠
⁠
But when we 𝘢𝘥𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 and 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦, it is so much 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿! ⁠
⁠
⁠Watching your 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘴 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺, ⁠
hearing your 𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘳, ⁠
and capturing those 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 of 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 ⁠is what fills these sessions with 𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁.⁠
⁠
Photos here are full of 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘳, and the kind of moments that turn into 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀. ⁠
