Family Photos at Maumee Bay

Cynthia loved these Family Photos at Maumee Bay. Sharing the Gift of Photography

If there is one thing that I believe strongly, it is that whatever gift you’ve been given needs to be shared. This is one of the reasons I give back to The Gold Hope Project. Giving fills me with so much joy and I was so happy that this family won a giveaway with me.

I first met this family in a homeschool co-op. Our boys are around the same age and I always appreciated mom’s kind demeanor and perspective (check out her tattoo). I was absolutely crushed when I learned that she had leukemia.

When someone you care about gets sick, you want to do something to help them. Unfortunately, I couldn’t do much but offer my love, support, and prayers to her. I’m so happy to say that she made it through!

This session felt like a celebration of the journey she’s been on and the people who were by her side. I wanted to focus a lot of the session on her and the connection she has with her children and husband. I knew Maumee Bay would be the perfect backdrop for them.
