I was so excited when my aunt asked if I could do a photo session with her and her daughter. They are so special to our family. It means the world to me when I can share this gift with the people I love! I was so moved when my aunt expressed how grateful she was for these photos and seeing them hang on display at their home makes me smile.

This got me thinking about the photos that will move your heart in ways you didn’t know you needed. That’s why I’m sharing the must-have photos every mom needs.

Love & Hugs

Seems obvious but photos that show you kissing, hugging, and loving on your children are always the kinds of images I will take at your session. These are the images that will make you feel your love and connection whenever you look at them. They are also easy for anyone who may be a bit camera shy because it is something you do all the time with your children.

Having F-U-N!

Photos where you have fun together are a must! Kids love being silly and to make you laugh. Capturing the pure joy you have with your children will always produce wonderful images.

Portraits

There is just something magical about a portrait. Especially portraits where you are included in the frame. This is one of my favorite ways to capture children. The safe feeling they get when being close to you really allows them to relax. These are usually some of mom’s favorite images!

Just You!

I know, I know…you did not schedule a family photo session so I could take photos of you. I get that but images of you or you and your spouse are just as important. We easily overlook that our kids will want to look at photos of not just them, but you too! I love finding ways to focus on moms during our time together.
