When I first began photographing client sessions, there was a particular type of session that always made me incredibly nervous. Can you guess which one? It was whenever there was a tween or teenager in the family. I think I was so anxious around this age group because I didn’t have much experience capturing their moments in front of the camera.
Does the idea of a family session constantly occupy your thoughts, only to be accompanied by a flood of overwhelming questions? Worry not, for I’ve got your back! Today, I’ll spill the tea and unveil the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about family photo sessions.
When you have little kids, you never know how they will act. Will they embarrass you by calling you out for pooping in the public bathroom (don’t ask me if this has ever happened to me) or act like a little angel?
I never go into a session thinking your kids are not going to act like kids.
The unpredictable behavior of your kids may be the biggest reason you don’t want to schedule a photo session. It can be nerve-wracking to put the time, energy, and money into family photos only to have your little one not want to cooperate. I’m here to tell you it’s okay!
