This spot right outside the studio is one of my favorites, especially when families want to include their pup in their newborn session. 💛⁠

A few things I’ve learned that make photo day feel a whole lot easier...⁠
⁠
✨ Haircuts about a week before your session usually work better than the day before. Everyone still looks fresh, but there’s enough time for everyone to settle into their new look.⁠
⁠
✨ Try everything on a few days ahead of time. ⁠
It’s so much easier to find a missing shoe or swap out an outfit before you’re rushing out the door.⁠
⁠
✨ Feed everyone before you leave. ⁠
Hungry kids (and hungry husbands 😂) are usually the first to let you know.⁠
⁠
✨ Tell your kids you’re going to explore, play, and spend time together. The less they think it’s about smiling for the camera, the more fun everyone has!! ⁠
⁠
✨ Pack a few non staining snacks, some wipes, and whatever your family never leaves home without the night before. One less thing to think about on session day is always a win! ⁠
⁠
And if you forget something? ⁠
⁠
It’ll be okay!! ⁠
⁠
Kids will still laugh, ⁠
they’ll still want to be close to you, ⁠
and we’ll still make beautiful memories together!! 💛
